Post Graduate
Admissions to the Post-graduate programs are also made through the two windows as in the case of UG programs, However, only sponsored candidates can enter through category B, in case of engineering programs. Separate entrance test are conducted for M.Tech (PGECET) and MCA (ICET) of Govt. of AP.
M.Tech – Eligibility Requirements:
1.AMIE/AMIETE or similar qualifications recognized by UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.
2.valid GATE Score obtained in the GATE Examination.
3.Apart from requirements of qualifications as stated in the above, the admissions of sponsored candidates shall be taken.
4.The number of Sponsored candidates shall not be more than two in each specialization and not more than five in each department.
5.These seats are considered as supernumerary.The sponsoring agency shall-certify that the candidates will be granted leave for pursuing the M.Tech. Full-Time course.
6.The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
Part Time Courses
With a view to provide an opportunity to in – service personnel to enhance their qualifications, competence by upgrading skill levels, a part-time programme in B.Tech. Chemical Engineering is introduced from the academic year 2012-13. Candidates with Diploma in Chemical engineering with 2 years industrial experience are eligible for admission into this programme as per AICTE norms.
Admissions
Category ‘A’
Admissions under category ‘A’ (regular) are made by the AP state council of Higher Education through a common entrance test EAMCET. Preferred Institution after University Colleges.
Category ‘B’
Admissions under category ‘B’ (Management) are made by the college based on the merit in the common entrance tests like EAMCET, AIEEE.
Scheme of PIO/Foreign Nationals
15% Supernumerary seats can be filled with PIOs/Foreign Nationals in both B.Tech. And M.Tech.

Admissions under Convener’s Quota (70% of intake in each branch):
A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.
The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
Admissions under Category ‘B’ (30% of intake in each branch):
The seats shall be filled either on the basis of rank obtained in EAMCET or of securing not less than 50% in aggregate or in group subjects (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) in the 10+2 qualifying examination.
